What are TowCamDirect cameras used for?
TowCamDirect cameras are designed to help with towing, reversing, hitching, parking and trailer monitoring. They are especially useful for horse trailers, horseboxes, livestock trailers, caravans, vans, trucks and other towing setups.
Can I use these cameras to check on my horse while travelling?
Yes. Both camera options can be used to help monitor your horse while travelling, giving you extra peace of mind on the road. Always make sure the camera is securely fitted and tested before setting off.
What is the difference between the two camera kits?
The Wireless Magnetic Rechargeable Trailer Camera connects directly to your iOS or Android device using WiFi, so you view the live image on your phone or tablet.
The 5" Digital Wireless Monitor Kit includes a separate 5" in-cab monitor, so you can view the camera feed on the supplied screen rather than using your phone.

Does this camera need wiring into the vehicle?
No. This camera has a built-in rechargeable 5000mAh battery, so there is no need for complicated wiring. Simply charge the camera, download the app, connect and go.
How do I view the camera image?
The camera connects to your iOS or Android device using WiFi. Once connected through the app, you can view the live camera feed directly on your phone or tablet.
Can the camera be moved between vehicles or trailers?
Yes. The strong magnetic base makes it quick and easy to fit, remove and reposition. Velcro pads are also included for areas where there is no suitable magnetic surface.
Can I adjust the camera angle?
Yes. The camera has 360° rotation, allowing you to position it as a rear camera, front camera, side-view camera, reverse camera or trailer monitoring camera.
Is the camera waterproof?
Yes. This camera has an IP68 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use in changing weather conditions.

Does this kit come with a screen?
Yes. This kit includes a 5" digital wireless IPS monitor, giving you a live view from inside your vehicle without needing to use your phone.
How is the monitor powered?
The monitor uses a cigarette lighter adapter, making it easy to power from most 12V and 24V vehicles.
How is the camera powered?
The camera has a large 9600mAh rechargeable battery and can also be supported by solar power and USB charging.
What is the wireless range?
The 5" monitor kit uses a 2.4GHz digital wireless signal with a working distance of approximately 30–50 metres, depending on the vehicle, trailer and surroundings.
Is this camera waterproof?
Yes. The camera has an IP69 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use, road spray and tough weather conditions.

What is the camera resolution?
Both camera systems feature 1080P camera resolution, giving a clear image for reversing, hitching and trailer monitoring.
Do the cameras have night vision?
Yes. Both camera options include night vision support to help provide visibility in low-light conditions.
Can I use the camera for reversing?
Yes. Both systems are suitable for use as reverse cameras, backup cameras and general trailer monitoring cameras.
Do the cameras support parking lines?
The Wireless Magnetic Rechargeable Trailer Camera supports parking line function. Please check your product instructions for setup and adjustment.
Fitting & Setup
Are the cameras easy to fit?
Yes. Both camera options are designed for easy fitting with magnetic mounting. This makes them quick to position and remove without permanent installation.
Where should I place the camera?
The camera can be placed where it gives the clearest and safest view. This could be at the rear of a trailer for reversing, near the hitch for coupling up, or inside a horse trailer for monitoring during travel.
Should I test the camera before towing?
Yes. Always fully charge and test the camera system before towing, reversing or travelling. Make sure the camera is secure, the image is clear and the connection is working correctly.
Can the cameras be used on non-magnetic surfaces?
The Wireless Magnetic Rechargeable Trailer Camera comes with Velcro pads for use where there is no suitable magnetic surface. For the 5" monitor kit, please check the mounting area and ensure the camera is safely secured before travel.

What vehicles are these cameras suitable for?
The cameras are designed for universal use with cars, vans, trucks, horseboxes, trailers, caravans, livestock trailers and other towing setups.
Are they suitable for 12V and 24V vehicles?
Yes. The 5" Digital Wireless Monitor Kit is suitable for 12V and 24V vehicles. The rechargeable WiFi camera is battery powered and suitable for a wide range of vehicles and trailers.

What delivery options do you offer?
We use Royal Mail for delivery.
Royal Mail 48 Hour Delivery: £4.95
Royal Mail 24 Hour Delivery: Available at checkout for a faster next day delivery option for a cost of £6.95.
Is next day delivery guaranteed?
Royal Mail 24 hour delivery is a faster delivery service, but delays can sometimes happen during busy periods, bank holidays or due to circumstances outside our control.
Returns & Warranty
Can I return my order if I change my mind?
Yes. You can return your item within 14 days of receiving your order, provided it is unused, in its original packaging, complete with all accessories and in a resaleable condition.
Who pays for return postage?
For change of mind returns, return postage is the customer’s responsibility.
What warranty is included?
Both include a 1-year warranty.
What does the warranty cover?
Warranty support may cover manufacturing faults. It does not normally cover accidental damage, misuse, incorrect installation, water damage caused by improper fitting, missing parts after use, or general wear and tear.
What should I do if my item arrives faulty or damaged?
Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos or a short video showing the fault or damage. We will then advise the best next step.
